Gagarin: Hero for Americans

A monumental feat is being celebrated across the globe today. Fifty years ago, on April 12, 1961, Soviet Cosmonaut,Yury Gagarin boarded his Vostok-one, and blasted off into space. The 27-year old made history as the first human to orbit the Earth. Gagarin became a world inspiration and a legend being honored in the United States half a century later.
